ARS - Asphalt Rejuvenator Sealer- Technical Specs:

CPR(TM) products should be used whenever extended service life is desired for asphalt pavements. These products are recommended for use on hot-mix asphalt, chip seals, slurry seals, micro-surfaced, heat scarified, and other surface treatments. The penetration into the asphalt matrix allows this Rejuvenator to rejuvenate and seal the pavement without changing the surface structure. Grooved roads and runways do not need to be re-grooved, and porous friction courses are not adversely affected. These rejuvenators are preventative maintenance products that will pay significant long-term dividends by reducing major expenditures associated with capital reconstruction.

CPR(TM) products meet or exceed the standards for Rejuvenator/Sealers set by the FAA, Army Corps of Engineers, and numerous other State and Federal agencies.

This Rejuvenator is comprised of the following materials:

  • ASTM D-490 RT 12 Coal Tar (40% - 52%)
  • Petroleum Distillate (20% - 38%)
  • Rejuvenator (16% - 38%)

Bituminous material properties:

  • Specific Gravity - ASTM D70 - 1.04 min.
  • Viscosity - ASTM D1665 - 8.0 max.
  • Distillation - ASTM D2060 - max. (to 300° C)
  • Softening Point - ASTM D36 - 65 max.
  • Percentage of Water by Vol. - ASTM D95 - 1.0 max.

CPR(TM) is generally applied in one application at the optimal rate and requires 8 - 24 hours to cure. However, 1/2 or 1/3 optimal rate applications can be made on successive days to allow traffic in as little as 1 hour.

*Surface Preparation

Prior to the application of our products, pavement surfaces should be free of all dirt and debris. CPR(TM) should be applied on dry pavements only, with surface temperatures of 50° or higher.
