ARS is completely different than conventional sealcoat emulsion coatings. ARS is a penetrating rejuvenator and sealer. ARS restores lost oils and repairs damage within the asphalt matrix. Unlike sealcoat emulsion coatings, ARS will not chip or peel. ARS treated pavements undergo a dramatic improvement in flexibility, providing improved resistance to cracking. ARS treated pavements wear evenly over time.

What is ARS Pavement Rejuvenator?
ARS Pavement Rejuvenator / Sealer is spray applied in a one-coat application. As pavement ages, essential oils are lost as they volatilze from the pavement, leading to cracking and pavement failure. ARS penetrates the asphalt, restores essential oils, rejuvenates the asphaltic binder, and repairs damage within the asphalt matrix. Under heavy traffic, smaller cracks may see some degree of closure. ARS exceeds the requirements of DOT, FAA, Spec EB-44 and Spec P629, and its use is approved for Airport Improvement Program funding.
ARS Differs From Sealcoats (Coaltar and Asphalt Emulsion):
ARS is completely unlike conventional coaltar and asphalt emulsion sealcoatings. Only ARS Pavement Rejuvenator has the unique ability to rejuvenate and restore pavement. In addition to its restorative capabilities, ARS treated pavement has an attrative black color that will not chip, peel, or delaminate. ARS will wear evenly over time. Unlike sealcoatings, ARS does not build up on the surface. ARS treated pavement retains its surface texture, thereby providing good traction and skid resistance.

ARS Differs From Other Rejuvenators:
ARS is the only true rejuvenator on the market today. By restoring essential oils, ARS treated pavements exhibit the following long-term improvements: Viscosity (brittleness) is reduced, Ductility (flexibility) is increased, and Penetration (softness) is increased for periods of up to 5 years. Several manufacturers market a solvent-based product as a rejuvenator. However, any improvement to the pavement is short-lived. The solvent quickly evaporates from the pavement, leaving a harder more brittle surface behind.
